Let’s break records in 2023!

Northern Nevada has not disappointed this summer. It has been stunningly beautiful outside. But while it may be warm and sunny here, the folks at Hallelujah Toffee are feeling the autumn season right around the corner. We are scurrying around gearing up for another cooking season.

One of God’s richest mercies is how He gives us renewed excitement and joy each cooking season. The energy has to be from Him and we are thankful He provides every season.

Apart from the necessary motivation to get started this season, we also need ingredients. A LOT of ingredients.

Our goal for the 2023 cooking season is to make 6,000 pounds of handmade toffee.

That is 1,072 individual pots to be cooked!

The very first ingredient to go in each of our 1,072 pots for the 2023 cooking season is…

BUTTER!!!

For 22 years, we have used Model Dairy, our local favorite here in Northern Nevada. This year, we will be ordering over 2,000 pounds of this golden goodness.

Similarly, we are collecting over 2,000 pounds of sugar and almost 1,500 pounds of fair-trade chocolate.

Then, there is the edible confetti roasted almonds…

We throw almonds around the kitchen so much that we have a designated Nut Room, where the nuts get spread in two different layers. It is a thing of beauty.

Of course, there are endless piles of packaging supplies, shipping boxes, strapping tape, food gloves, cute little sample cups, and those lovely hairnets.

But more important than all of these ingredients are our two most essential elements to Hallelujah Toffee.

Prayer and Volunteers.

If you would like to pray for us, we would love to have you subscribe to our newsletter (down below in the footer) so we can keep you updated on our prayer requests. Throughout the toffee season, our prayer every day is the following:

1) we are protected (Psalm 46:1).

2) we honor God with our words to one another (Colossians 3:12).

3) that love for one another shines to the world around us (John 13:35).

If you would like to volunteer to help in the kitchen, we would love to have you! Check out this page for more information. Or if you are not local, but still want to help, you could share our information on social media.

There is one more element to our production and that is Customers!

If you are interested in purchasing our Hallelujah Toffee, we will have 6,000 pounds for sale online on November 1st. If history repeats itself, it will go quickly, but we will be ready to take your orders on November 1st.

If you want to order large quantities of Hallelujah Toffee, we are taking pre-season corporate orders, and you can do so by emailing us at hallelujahtoffee@gmail.com with the details.

We love you all, dear toffee family.

Love Always,

Karen (HT Founder, ‘23 Hallelujah Toffee Board Secretary)

2023 Volunteers

Dear Volunteers,

Let’s just start with this: thank you! What a joy it is to serve God alongside you!

We can use volunteers in the following areas:

Toffee Production: the month of October is solely delegated to making, weighing, and packing the toffee. We work Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks of October. Feel free to check the calendar below.

Packing Party: November 4th. This is our annual community-wide event, in which we ask for a modern-day quilting bee. In one day, we will pack 8,000 boxes of Hallelujah Toffee, and can use as many volunteers as possible. We provide lunch.

Shipping: Starting November 1st, we ship Hallelujah Toffee every weekday morning. This happens in the Hallelujah Toffee kitchen. Check the calendar below for times.

Sales: We travel to a few Northern Nevada sales events, in which we sell toffee at various sites. If you are interested in joining the Sales Team, we would love to have you!

If you feel called to join our team in any of these areas, or perhaps you see another spot you could potentially help with, we would love your hands and heart.

Perhaps the best way to move forward is by email: hallelujahtoffee@gmail.com

Sweeter than sugar, richer than chocolate, better than butter, and only a little bit nutty.

2022 Final Report

Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
— Psalm 36:5

By God’s goodness and mercy, we have officially wrapped up our 2022 season and completed all of our shipping, accounting, donations, and even purchases for the 2023 season.

As promised, here is a final breakdown of who received our donations in 2022. Just a quick reminder that there are no paychecks issued at Hallelujah Toffee or at Hallelujah Outreach Ministries. 100% of our profits are donated, either back to purchase ingredients for the following year or to the following ministries:

Enkai’s Children received funds needed to continue their work in Kenya, traveling to unreached people groups.

Slavic Gospel Association received funds to continue their work in slum outreach, youth camps, orphan care, pastor discipleship, and their annual Christmas evangelism project.

NOVO received Hallelujah Toffee funds to share the Gospel of Jesus and to mobilize the church for this mission. Working around the world, our 2022 funds went specifically to the work being done in Cherkasy, Ukraine.

Hallelujah Toffee also donated locally to Hilltop Community Church in Carson City, Nevada, to their Missions fund.
